This house is an Italian jewellery company that was formed by a father and son Mario and Gianmaria Buccelati in 1919. This company became popular all around the globe. Mario Buccellati established his first firm in 1919, and after opening shops in Milan, Rome, and Florence, he started expanding his operations internationally in 1954 and 1958, respectively, by opening new shops on Fifth Avenue in New York City and Worth Avenue in Palm Beach, Florida. Pope Pius XII commissioned Mario Buccellati to design an icon for Princess Margaret in 1949 to commemorate the historic significance of the first visit by a British Royal to Vatican City in hundreds of years.
